Kuvanen

Ihan vain tämmöinen pelkkä asukuva. :) Kävin jokunen kuukausi sitten Sannin luona kuvattavana ja toiseksi asukseni laitin tämän painon ja värjäyksen kurssille tekemäni mekon. Päätin värjätä samalla kokeilunvuoksi yhdet sukkahousut ja värjäyshän onnistui oikein hyvin joten päädyin painamaan katulamppu kuviota sukkiksiin jotta kerrankin mullakin olis mätsäävä setti! :D

Just a pic, Sanni took some pics of me couple months a go and this is the end result. :) I decided to my hand made (dyed and printed) dress and stockings to the shoot. Sanni is a brilliant photographer! Here's a link to her blog if you wish to see more of her work.

I'm so slow with updating!

I went to Helsinki couple weeks a go to see some friends and for something else which I'll tell you later (seriously, we were told not to share anything about it but it was on the news!?)

I went to chibicon with Heidi to meet Jenni, Katja, Minja and Toni. I was hesitating to go there because for once I didn't have a selling stand there.. but I went anyway to see my friends since I was going to be in Helsinki that weekend anyway so I though why not. In the end me and Heidi stayed there for like one hour and then we couldn't take it anymore.. Don't get me wrong! I do read manga and watch anime but these conventions.. they just aren't for me!

At the evening we went to eat at Koto with Jenni, Laura, Ninni, Minja and Elina. I ordered some sushi since unfortunately the sushiplace here in Hämeenlinna aren't that good, so I don't want to miss out any opportunities to get some nice sushi! :D Most of us ordered some warm dishes and they all smelled so good.. I tasted some of them and they were really lovely, definitely have to go to eat at Koto again!


On Sunday we had a little meetup so we wen't to the center around 12 to meet the other ladies and Toni.
Unfortunately can't tell what we were doing, but here's some pics of us!

In this one we made funny faces and I wasn't sure if they're ok me sharing this, so I just used pony-censoring. :D

 

And here's my outdoors outfit, it's mixture of secondhand, handmade, Cloudberry Lady and offbrand.

School stuff

Just wanted to show you what I've been working on lately.
So I'm studying fashion design and my minor is textile design, for this year I've been attending a textile course where we should design a fabric collection. Everyone else on the course are from the textile department so I'm doing the assignment in slightly different way than they are (I'm making the designs for garments, their collections are for interiors, most chose to make kitchen fabrics.)
The theme for the collection is Rinnakkain (side by side?) so I though to make lolita-collection but use mori and dolly-kei as an inspiration..

Here's couple print designs I've made so far (I draped the patterns on some lolita brands items, the clothes are not my designs!)

Sleeping beauty is the theme of my collection. Here I used Innocent World outfit to present my embroidery design on the bag.

The skirt is from Alice and the pirates, only the print is my design. :)

I already started working on the embroidery but it's really difficult one to make!

Does the dolly-kei and mori-girl inspiration come trough at all? I'm planning to make everything in two colorways, one in Mori and other in Dolly-kei, the colors you see on the skirt are from the palette I was planning for dolly-kei and brown, white and other earthy colors for mori-girls.

Kitacon 2012

Laura ja Toni saivat älynväläyksen lähteä Kemiin Kitaconiin ja piti sitten suostua kuskiksi. Saatiin reissuun mukaan Tiina ja Jenni, joten eeppinen matka oli taattu! :)
Lähdettiin matkaan perjantai aamuna ja ajettiin Kuopion kautta noutamassa Jenni joka oli tehnyt meitä varten ihania lihapullia ja pastaa! <3 Pysähdyksien ja eksymisien jälkeen päästiin hotelliin 11 tuntia myöhemmin.

Aamulla käytiin syömässä hotellin aamupalaa joka oli melko suppea, mutta oli hirmu kiva syödä mahat täyteen ennen conin alkua niin ei tarvinnut lähteä myyntipödältä ruokaa etsimään. :) Osallistuin conissa myös lolitamuotinäytökseen enkä viitsinyt viedä toisilta matkustilaa roudaamalla kahta loltsu-asua mukaan joten aamupäivästä olin aika tavallisisssa vaatteissa.

Tältä näytettiin aamulla ennen coniin lähtöä.

Laura and Toni got an "great" idea to go to Kitacon at Kemi! Jenni and Tiina also decided to join us and since we had to pick up Jenni from Kuopio it took 11 hours to reach our hotel!


Next day we went early to the con since I had a selling stand there. We also attended to the lolita fashion show there, so at morning I wore a bit more casual outfit. The show went well and I was pleased with my outfit in the end. At first I wasn't so happy with it but with my friends help it ended up looking good. :)
After the con ended we went to eat at an Indian restaurant and headed to Kuopio since we stayed at Jenni's place for the night. <3

First pair of Circle lenses!

Tilattiin Tiinan, Heidin ja Kristan kanssa läjä piilareita Pinky Paradise nimisestä puljusta. Toimitus oli tosi nopea eikä paketti jäänyt edes tulliin! :) Hieman epäilytti linssejä tilatessa miten tulisin niillä näkemään, sillä circleihin ei saa hajataitonkorjausta ja minä kun sitä etenkin vasempaan silmääni tarvitsisin. Kokeilun vuoksi tilasin kuitenkin yhden parin ja olin iloisesti yllättynyt kun näinkin niillä lähes yhtähyvin kuin toisilla optikolta hankituilla piilareillanikin! Toinen yllätys oli se että pystyin käyttämään piilareitani aivan helposti reilun 6 tuntia, mikä on omituista sillä silmäni kuivuvat todella helposti allergioistani johtuen, lisäksi ohjeissa varoiteltiin ettei linssejä saisi käyttää yli kahdeksaa tuntia joten oletin että ne olisivat vuosilinsseinä paksut ja epähengittävät.

Linssit ovat halkaisijaltaan samat kuin omat värittömät linssinikin, joten ne oli erittäin helppo saada päähän. Suurennusefekti on huomattava, mutta linssien väri ei ole ehkä omiin silmiini paras mahdollinen, tilasin nimittän vaaleanpunaiset linssit ja omat silmäni ovat vihreät- lopputulos: kellan ruskea. Värimuutos on kuitenkin erittäin selvä ja uskon että vaikkapa sinisilmäisillä ne saataisivat oikeasti näyttääkin vaaleanpunaisilta tai violeteilta. Linssin sisäreunassa on keltainen ympyrä jonka ansiosta linssit sulautuvat todella hyvin omiin silmiini, rajaa on lähes mahdoton huomata!

We made a group order for circle lenses with Tiina, Krista and Heidi. This was my first pair and I was quite worried how they would work for me. I have astigmatism, my eyes are very dry due my allergies and my eyes are green so I was wondering if the colour would be noticeable at all! We ordered the lenses from Pinky Paradise, and are really pleased with their service; they shipped very fast and the order didn't get stuck on the customs.. marked as a gift. ;)

I worried for nothing. I could see nearly as well with these lenses as my astigmatism ones.. maybe wouldn't drive with them but I usually don't drive with lenses anyway. I could wear them just as long as my regular lenses and they were just as comfortable! The colour was only minus, but I knew I was taking a risk with that shade with my eye colour. The pink blended with my natural shade so it looks a bit brownish or even orange tone, but if I look carefully I can see the pink there and anyway the change is huge. So maybe they would look better on blue or brown eyes, but I'm definitely satisfied with them.

Heidin luona Helsingissä.

Käväisin pari viikkoa sitten yökylässä ystäväni Heidin luona. Meidän oli tarkoitus mennä baariin,vihdoin, olemme kauan suunnitelleet ryyppyreissua, mutta se jäi tälläkin kertaa välistä! Satuimme nimittäin löytämään niin hyvän Nepalilaisen blacmetal bändin että päätimmekin jäädä kotiin nauttimaan skumpasta ja taatusti hyvästä musiikista! :P

Couple weeks ago I went to Helsinki to meet my dear friend Heidi. We were planning to go to a bar, but somehow we found this awesome Nepalese blacmetalband so we stayed home drinking and listening their songs (+some visualkei bands). Next day we went shopping with couple more friends, but in the end no-one really bought anything. We dressed up in lolita but maybe because of the music we listened last night our outfits ended up rather dark. :D 

The bands name is Kalodin which means Black day in Nepalese.
Bändin nimi on Kalodin, mikä tarkoittaa nepaliksi mustaa päivää. Heidän musiikkinsa on ihanan melodista, vähänkuin sekoitus Dimmu Borgiria ja Cradle of Filthiä! <3
Sain tietää että he ovat esiintymässä Nepalilaisella blackmetal festivaalilla parin viikon päästä ja arvatkaa tekisikö mieli ottaa äkkilähtö....


Aiemmin päivällä kävin tapaamassa Leetä aterioinnin merkeissä ja Heidi sekä Katja liityivät hetken päästä myös seuraamme. Kävimme syömässä aasialaisessa buffetissa sushia ja jotain muuta mättöä joka ei kylläkään ollut oikein mun makuun.. mutta sushit oli nam! Törkeästi roudasimme ruokaa myös Katjalle joka oli jo ylittänyt kuukauden budjettinsa. :3

Seuraavana päivänä menimme Heidin, Lauran ja Tonin kanssa shoppailemaan ja päätimme hieman loleilla Heidin kanssa.. tosin edellisillan musiikkivalinnoista johtuen asuista tuli melkoisen tummanpuhuvia. :D

Ja tässä kaunis,  ihana mekkoni! <3 Vaaleansininen ei ole aivan suosikki värini mutta  livenä tämä oli oikein kaunis. :)
